Welcome to

“Fun with Art”

Hosted by designer & artist Bridget Isbey (Bahlmann), Fun With Art offers children a joyful, screen-free space to explore creativity, build confidence, and discover their own artistic voice. Each session introduces a new artist, guiding kids through hands-on drawing and painting techniques while encouraging self-expression, curiosity, and playful experimentation.

With Bridget’s experience as an abstract and semi-abstract painter and her background in design, every class is crafted to inspire imagination, nurture creative growth, and leave young artists proud of their work..

What to expect

You can expect a thoughtful, engaging, and encouraging studio environment where children are guided step-by-step through creative projects inspired by world-renowned artists. Each session begins with a short, age-appropriate introduction to the artist of the day—who they were, what they created, and what makes their style special. Kids then explore these ideas through their own artwork with plenty of freedom to experiment and warm support from Bridget. By the end of each class, students leave with a finished piece of art and a big boost in confidence.

BRIDGET

Bridget Bahlmann is a New Zealand-based abstract artist whose expressive acrylic works explore emotion, movement, and the psychology of colour. With a Bachelor of Communication Studies and a certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Bridget has always had a deep interest in interpersonal communication and human psychology—insights that inform both her art and teaching.

Her intuitive, rhythmic process—often described as “dancing on the canvas”—is rooted in visual storytelling, shaped by a background in graphic design and early recognition through national art and design awards. Inspired by nature, music, and personal transformation, Bridget’s mission is to uplift and empower others through creativity, connection, and soul-led expression.

What you’ll learn

  • How to recognize and navigate fear and self-doubt in your creative process, so they no longer hold you back.

  • Tools and mindsets to build a sustainable, joyful creative practice, rooted in exploration rather than perfection.

  • The confidence to take creative risks and share your work, even when it feels vulnerable.

Course FAQ

  • Creative Courage is designed to be flexible and self-paced. You can move through the lessons in your own time, but most participants complete the course in 4 to 6 weeks, spending about 1–2 hours per week. You’re welcome to take it slower or faster—whatever fits your creative rhythm best.

  • Not at all! Creative Courage is for anyone exploring creativity, whether you're just starting out or have years of experience. The focus is on building confidence, playfulness, and consistency—not on technical skill or artistic perfection.

  • You’ll only need basic creative supplies—such as a notebook or sketchbook, pens or pencils, and any art materials you enjoy (markers, collage materials, clay, etc.). The course encourages experimentation, so feel free to use what you have on hand—no fancy tools required!
